Universal Math Solver (UMS) really works!

UMS is a software package which, until now, students could only dream of.

UMS solves any given problem, either one taken from a textbook or just invented on the spot.

Moreover, UMS explains each step of the solution to the problem.

You simply enter your math problem as you would write it in a notebook and UMS software will provide a detailed solution, accompanied by verbal commentary.

Announcement!

On October 20, 2011 we released a new version - UMS Online 10.0.2.9 with the addition of a new possibility to insert a math problem that is already in Notepad (or any text editor).

On June 6, 2011 we released a new version - UMS Online 10.0.1.8 with the addition of a new module - Trigonometry. Part 1. Using this version you can solve Trigonometric Equations, Simplify Trigonometric Expressions with a numerical argument and solve Right Triangle Problems.

The next version - UMS Online 10.5 - is about to be released. Using this version, you will be able to solve trigonometric inequalities and to prove trigonometric identities.

UMS Advanced Offline

UMS is designed to solve and explain mathematical problems entered by the user. UMS Advanced Offline can completely solve all problems drawn from the following domains of mathematics:

  • differentiation of algebraic expressions, including trigonometric and exponential functions
  • analysis of the rational functions with the aid of derivatives
  • graphing of any function
  • matrix algebra, including: algebraic operations, inverse of matrix, calculating determinant and rank of matrix
  • any varieties of diagrams for the entered series

In the module "Matrices and Determinants" you can find:

  • Linear Combination of several Matrices of the same size
  • Product of two Matrices agreed-on size
  • A Square Matrix to the n-th (natural number) Power
  • Determinant of the Matrix using Gauss algorithm
  • Determinant of the Matrix using Laplace expansion
  • Determinant of the Matrix using Sarrus' rule
  • Rank of Matrix
  • Inverse of Matrix using Determinant
  • Inverse of Matrix using Gauss-Jordan Method

Complete analysis of rational functions includes:

  • Domain and Range of functions
  • x-intercepts and y-intercepts
  • Symmetry
  • Points of discontinuity
  • Vertical asymptotes
  • Horizontal asymptotes
  • Relative extrema
  • Concavity
  • Points of inflection

Program Interface: (see screenshots)

  • UMS Software has a very simple and clear interface; its use does not require any additional specific skills or training.
  • You can enter the math problem in WYSIWYG way, so the formula you see would be similar to the one in a textbook.
  • Separate window for each exercise allowing multiple exercises to be solved simultaneously.
  • Solution can be converted and saved to an MS Word file.

UMS Advanced Offline includes UMS Calculator.

UMS Software includes a collection of math problems sorted by topic and level of complexity. Each problem you solve can be saved into this database. Users can work with the existing database or create their own custom collections. UMS can choose a problem from the UMS collection similar to the last solved one.
